Hi, I'm Colin. I am a qualified beekeeper, a member of the Beekeeping Association and dedicated to honeybees. I started training as a beekeeper in 2009 and have built up from maintaining one hive to over 40 commercial hives.

For those interested in what beekeeping involves, I will be writing my weekly blog which will contain all of the fun and games throughout the season, along with ideas, tips and suggestions.

About me

I have been in engineering for 35 years and have gone on to become a welding engineer and instructor at a large London university.

I am happily married to my very understanding wife and, as well as my beekeeping, spend my spare time on my wood turning hobby and enjoying my grandchildren.

My Beekeeping Season

The beekeeping season is from early April to the first week in October.
